Behind Every Success, There is Determination
There won’t be poverty stricken people
There won’t be broken relationships and divorces,
There won’t be negative situations that make life a living hell.
If you are with me, please just stop and take a look around you, what do you see? Take a walk downtown, what is the situation like? Just take a minute to ask yourself, what is it that Dangote of the Dangote conglomerate knows that this poor people don’t? What is that Otedola of Conoil, Mike Adenuga of Glo Mobile, Raymond Dokpesi of Daar Communication, Jim Ovia of Zenith Bank, Jimoh Ibrahim of Global fleet and a host of others know that put them on the other divide of the successful people? If you are privileged to read through their biographies you will discover that they all have one thing in common, DETERMINATION.
Yes, DETERMINATION! DETERMINATION!! DETERMINATION!!!
A DETERMINATION TO SUCCEED
DETERMINATION TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
DETERMINATION TO MOVE ON DESPITE SET BACKS AND MISTAKES.
Now, let us focus on ourselves, have YOU ever found yourself in a situation where you believed you would improve your lot in life, only to find a number of things that you didn't "sign up for"? Maybe you started a business or got a job that didn't start out well. Maybe you were married and things got tough.
My friend, it’s time I tell you this;
Often, in life, things get horrible sometimes than you can imagine before they get better. Success I know is not a roller coaster ride. There is a conspiracy going on that I want to reveal to you here.
Know that before you; a lot of successful people that we know today like Bill Gates, Oprah Windfrey, Tiger Woods, Jimoh Ibrahim e.t.c. have wrestled demoralizing challenges that almost threw them off the ladder. But behind their great ideas, dreams, hopes, faith, creativity, and success was determination. They were determined to get it through no matter what it will cost them. They were determined to get to the other side of life by creatively putting all they have got in them challenging their ugly situation. You know poverty can be uglier.
Like I said earlier, there is a conspiracy going on between the two divides of poverty and wealth, successful marriage and divorces and so on. The god of success tests your resolve to succeed. They test to see if you will be a good ambassador of the success you are asking for. It puts before you the hurdles and challenges to jump over. Most of these hurdles are so disheartening that some people give up. Some people fight so hard that a minute to achieving success they opt out. But a determined person, the gods crowned.
Therefore my friend, if you want to be successful in this life, keep going, don't turn back just because things aren't easy at the moment. Based on what I have experienced, and studying the ways of great achievers, if success were easy, everyone would be doing it. Nobody will be blaming anybody for failures. The potential for greatness is in everyone including you, but to you have got be determined to work yourself through it. If you want a result badly enough you will get it, but, you must be determined to do what is necessary. Handle the challenges of the moment in creative ways, but never turn back or give up on what you want!
I love ya.
Adios!

NO QUESTIONS, NO GREATNESS
Why do some people seem to get everything they want, while others struggle just to make ends meet? In other words, why are some people so rich and others so poor? Why are so many peoples’ potentials not developed?
And then it hit me…
What???
Yes! I now understand the reason why so many people loose their ability to achieve success.
Why?
Because they stopped asking questions, I mean the right and vital questions of life.
I must confess that this realization hit me so hard and I swore right then that I shall never in my life live a day without it.
Now look at it this way; through out our schooling days (from elementary through the university) we have been answering academic questions inorder to pass our examination with good grades and attain academic excellence.
True or false?
Good, you are with me.
Have ever considered the importance of asking questions?
Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? Why am I born into this family? Why did my parents choose that school for me? What would I do to achieve my desired goals? Why did kanu left arsenal? How can I change my attitude? How can I find the courage to ask that girl or boy out? Where can I find solution to my headache problem? How do I ask the right question at the right time? Who can I turn to for advice over my relationship problem? Why did I choose play football rather that basketball? How did the rich get so rich? Why are some people poor? How can I answer the questions that really matter? How should I live my life? What is integrity? What is truth? What is enlightenment? What is my original nature? Is there something beyond the mind? Is there something beyond my own thoughts and concepts? How have I been conditioned by life? What forces are responsible for the things that I believe and the manner in which I view life? E.t.c
So have you ever wondered why you hadn’t long ago realized that asking the right question is the bedrock upon which success grow? Many a person has unconsciously been using this ancient truth over and over but has no idea that asking questions could have changed their lives for good if only they had realized the power therein. Asking questions gives you the ability to think, to search deep for answers, to go all out in search of solutions. It builds sound mental intelligence.
It is so sad today that so many people just live their lives without realizing this basic truth.
Let me make it clearer here.
It is no secret that questions are the bedrock or foundation upon which learning and success are achieved. People become poor because they refuse to question certain situations in their lives and therefore the desire to seek answers for change remains weak. They remain perpetually ignorant of the actions that they can take inoder to change their lives. One more simple truth is this ‘without asking the right questions, plans cannot be made.’
The real difference between the rich and the poor is just in the use of questions. The rich questions a lot of things about themselves, their environments, their relationships, belief, businesses e.t.c. The poor man resigns himself to fate that that is how God created him to be. He accepts the poverty state in which he was born into. Because he never ask vital life questions, he never dares to dream of great things. The man who will come out of poverty no matter the background of his birth will always challenge his state by asking questions such as how do I get out of poverty? What am I passionate about that could be of service to people? Where do I get a mentor to guide me in my quest? What services can I offer my community? ETC.
Being inquisitive (i.e. asking questions) is inherent to long-term success. We must constantly be asking ourselves the right questions. We must persistently be questioning processes that we use everyday of our lives. We must as a matter of fact always question whether or not products can be improved.
‘Questioning is what produces new answers, which leads us to break new ground.’
I repeat again ‘Questioning is what produces new answers, which leads us to break new ground.’
What to do?
Commit yourself to asking lots and lots of questions. At first, do not bother to consider whether it the right question. You can begin to do this by going through the basics which are; who? What? When? Where? Why? and how?
So, as you live your life, get yourself asking lots of questions. People will sometimes wonder if you are crazy or a troublemaker, but only you will know that you are pursuing enlightenment, information, knowledge, and the wisdom that will take you far beyond those who choose to live as others tell them life shall be lived!
Challenge yourself this day with a lots of life’s vital questions.
Dare to ask!
I love you

BUILDING A SELF POSITIVE ATTITUDE
If I had known this, I knew I’d have conquered my financial worries long ago. But all the same I was glad that I finally realized what it takes to be successful from this discovery.
Lost?
Confused?
Hey! Don’t be, I am on the driver’s sit here.
Many of us simply do not realize the strength in the values we that we place in our life.
If only we discover the power that positive values bring to our lives, we will not hesitate to place it on us.
The reason why so many people struggle today is because of the low and or negative value they place on themselves. Their self esteem is so low that it resonates even in their relationships and other activities they engage in. They can’t live their lives to the fullest because they place on themselves negative values.
Is that really the case here?
By commission or omission many of us simply refuse to avail ourselves the opportunities to contribute to the events that make our world a place to live in. Have you ever wondered why so many people are so dejected and don’t have passion for anything in life? Why the alcoholic and liquor joints springs up ten times daily than any other business?
Yea, because a lot of people are depressed.
Depressions have caused so much damage to lives today than we can simply imagine.
Why?
Good fellas, I can feel that question, “Why?”
Depression sets in when we are not contributing our own part to the service of humanity. When we become watchers of events rather than being active players, then idleness sets in and a prolong state of idleness results in the devaluation of our God given potentials. Thus;
We have a negative value of ourselves.
We feel we are not fortunate to be born rich.
We see ourselves as failures.
We underrate our worth.
We sometimes see all other people around as enemies of our progress
We trade blames on virtually anything and everything around us.
We see God as biased
We just simply develop the “Sit down and watch the world events unfold” attitude.
But the good news is that we can change this negative circumstance we imposed on ourselves. We can rediscover our values and put them to use for the benefit of humanity.
The question now is, “What positive value do you place on your life?”
I repeat it,
“What positive value do you place on your life today?”
Self discipline, the right attitude, Honesty, Respectful, Encouraging and motivating people, Love, Moral uprightness, good financial management, spirituality and lots more.
What positive value do you place on your life?
Positive values are unseen magnets. It is guided by the law of attraction. The more positive values we place on ourselves, the more it resonates on our relationship with people around us and the activities we do. The more our relationship is good with people, the more we tend to drive our energies towards the delivery of invaluable services that are solutions to people’s problems. We record successes in our businesses, family life, social and spiritual life because we are actively contributing our quota in somebody’s live.
Finally, if you value the type of person you are, you will have a good sense of self-esteem and you will be proud to be you. You will always value your skills and talents, respect your own intelligence and act on your beliefs and feelings.
Positive values direct the path we follow, the way we think, talk and the way we do things. It always rewards! Why not built on your positive value today?
I love ya!
Stephen.

I Can, Yes I Can!
Can words be that powerful? Can it really, really have a strong influence on the psyche of an individual?
I want to share with you a powerful principle that I've used to change my life and that you too can use it to unleash the greatness in you. The result is awesome and amazing when I put the principle to test.
Before I share this insight with you, I want you to know that you don't always have to be on your 'game' and be great. You just have to believe, think possible and with a passionate conviction, utter the words “I CAN, YES I CAN”.
I said it with strong convictions deep within me and acted on my passion.
The first day I voiced it out loud, I was laughed at by friends and colleagues at work.
The passion inside of me was what they could not see. Because I know myself better than the way they understood me, they couldn’t see the fire inside of me. The mind of possibility drove me like an eagle and set me to overcome challenges that these friends of mine thought would be the end of the road for the “I CAN” words that I uttered always.
“Because a thing seems difficult for you,” Marcus Aurelius Antoninus wrote. “Do not think it is impossible for anyone to accomplish. But whatever is possible for another, believe that you, too, are capable of it.”
What came to my mind when I first encountered this quote was first amongst many others the man, Barrack Obama, the first African American and current president of the United States of America. He ran a campaign with words that echoed possibility. The “We Can Yes We Can” campaign mantra was a sure winner. The American people sided with him to achieve victory at the polls because such positive words carried with it the passion of possibility.
On a deeper sense I said to myself, President Obama must have been affirming these words to himself long before he came to limelight of American people. God knows for how long the affirmation has been going on. The positive words “I can, Yes I can” defined his path and he followed it with great passion.
Today, my one daily motivational word is “I can, Yes I can”. I say it first thing every morning and as often as I can through out the day and you know what?
Let me say this;
This word has changed me for the better. Every time I say it loud, I feel a surge of possibility and accomplishment coasting around me. An inner strength that keeps me going develops. Clarity of purpose and direction also develops. It keeps me on a high positive attitude.
Let me repeat this, it keeps me on a high positive attitude.
Waow! There is power, real power in positive words.
A positive word directed towards yourself improves you, that’s a fact!
Yes positive words have tremendous power far more than we often realize, it is important saying them to yourself and to others around you.
I will also not fail to warn you that negative words also have bad omen for you.
Can you hear me?
Negative words ain’t no good for us if we want to succeed.
Like Obama, you can become great too.
You have great potential hidden inside of you.
By right you are great!
You can apply the power of daily positive affirmations in your life to bring out the best you. The world awaits your arrival.
Obama, Bill gates, Michael Jordan, Mary kay, Mother Theresa, and many others have positively affirmed themselves to solve the world’s problem in their own way.
Hey! What are you waiting for?
“I CAN YES I CAN”
I Love Ya.

It Takes Just Effort
Laziness,
Lack of planning and organization,
The confidence crisis,
Time management deficiency,
Lack of self discipline,
Self centeredness,
Self-absorption ……etc
These are some of the greatest challenges facing people today.
Do you get me right?
Yes! The greatest challenges we face everyday are those that have its source from within us. We look at them as little things but given time and space they haunt us for life, destroying our potentials and make us victims of failure.
So many people have been discouraged by some of these challenges in their lives; they have tried so hard but couldn’t overcome it. I have been there myself in my quest to make my life a success.
Are you lost?
Oh no! no!! no!!! Please don’t be.
Now listen… I want you to be with me on this.
Trying to build a successful live upon the instructions and principles governing the creation of wealth and successful living is a challenge.
Are you with me?
Yes it is!
Okay! When you think of millionaires and other successful people, what really come into your mind? Is it only that flashy car they drive, the mansion they live in, the diamond and gold ornament they possess only?
Whoopy! You may be right but I say wrong.
You asked why?
Challenges!
All great men and women battled challenges. They knew that there will always be obstacle on their way which stems out from their being. They know that overcoming these challenges is the only sure way they can step up to their dreamland. They put on a positive mindset in pursuing their course. They think and act possible.
Are you still with me?
Ask Tiger Woods, Oprah Winfrey, Bill gates, Mike Litman and check out the history of the world's greatest and successful people. They think possible and acted on that believe.
To believe in the power of possibility is the key. Think possible and act possible.
To overcome procrastination, take atleast 1% of effort everyday;
To overcome laziness, apply positive effort everyday too…and so on
Every effort taken is a process of eradicating the obstacle. It breaks down the strong forces/bond holding the obstacle together for you to overcome.
Challenges come in different shades and colors. It could be mistakes that you have made in decision making or marketing or distribution, It could be in the circle of friends that you keep, it could be planning difficulty, offensive family background and so many other ways. Mind you that challenges are always and will always be there. The moment you wake up from sleep, you start to face challenges. But do not be discouraged because, naturally challenges are part of life, it is always there for our own good. It comes our way not to harm us in any way rather to test our ability, patience, passion to succeed, inner conviction and confidence etc.
I tell you this, because you made that effort to get out bed you can also apply that possible attitude to overcome challenges.
Today, I believe in challenges because out of it comes achievement and success. The effort I put produces results.
And it is only those who think it is possible that can overcome challenges.
Whatever challenges you are encountering, be rest assured that for it to come your way, then something good is on its way towards you. Efforts attracts good results.
Just put atleast 1% of effort everyday in what you believe in and be passionate about it.
Think possible and act possible. You have all potential that it takes to make you great. Why not think possible and make that effort.
Thanks!
Just Make That Effort To Overcome.
I love ya!
Stephen D. Ibrahim.
